TEAN Conference “The Ambition of Teacher Education” – Birmingham, 10-11 May 2018

This two day conference is a fantastic opportunity for teacher educators based in universities, colleges and schools to share research and innovation in teacher education and professional learning. TEAN would particularly welcome proposals and participation from teacher educators across Europe, including ATEE members.

The conference title: ‘The Ambition of Teacher Education’ is inspired by TEAN’s determination to support the professional learning of teacher educators and the enhancement of initial and advanced teacher education programmes and projects.

Presentations will be informed by critical engagement with theory, research, policy and practice. The topics will include the pedagogy of teacher education, innovative practice in teacher education and professional development for teachers, as well as partnerships and policy in teacher education.

TEAN is happy to welcome two ATEE members as keynote speakers:
Professor Kay Livingston, Professor in Educational Research, Policy and Practice at the School of Education,     University of Glasgow

Dr Alaster Scott Douglas, a Reader in Education and Professional Practice, University of Roehampton.
